Alun joined GSK in 2009 following training as a Health Economist at York University and consultancy experience preparing health economic materials and regulatory submissions. In his current role he collaborates with the NHS by simplifying access to key evidence in respiratory care and supporting the publication of local case studies.

Laura is a practice nurse with a specialist interest in respiratory care. A large part of her clinical role involves reviewing complex respiratory patients at the practice to improve disease control and reduce referrals to secondary care.

Professor Bakerly is the clinical director for the Department of Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonology) and the Divisional Chief Clinical Information Officer (CCIO) at Salford Royal Foundation Trust, Greater Manchester, and is the lead for integrated COPD services. Professor Bakerly also works as an academic and Honorary Senior Lecturer at the University of Manchester, and has participated as lead or co-investigator in many clinical trials including the Salford Lung Studies for Asthma and COPD.

Scott has worked for Interface Clinical Services since 2013 supporting the delivery of patient facing clinics across a range of long-term conditions. His current role as National Lead Pharmacist has two overarching remits. The first involves service design and development, the second is as a national trainer in COPD.

Simon Thomas is an Honorary Fellow of the School of Pharmacy & Bioengineering, Keele University and a Director at Prescribing Decision Support – a Keele University spin-out company that delivers knowledge-based e-media systems designed to support healthcare decision making.
